NaturLoop AG, a spinoff from Bern University of Applied Science (Institute for Materials and Wood Technology), engineers biocomposites and develops the required technology to produce them at industrial scale. NaturLoop introduces an innovative production concept based on a turnkey factory to transform agricultural waste with the addition of a proprietary bio-based adhesive into biocomposites for furniture and construction applications. NaturLoop has developed Cocoboard®, a sustainable and locally available alternative to particleboard and Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), designed in Switzerland and manufactured in the Philippines.

With the support of the STI NaturLoop can finalize the development of a coconut husk supply chain in the Philippines and complete a series of industrial trials to progress the Cocoboard production technology.
