Certus molecular diagnostics ag has developed a novel molecular method for the rapid, reliable and cost-effective point-of-care detection of specific microorganisms. Our prototype accurately detects different Herpesviruses within less than 30 minutes. It can be used by a layperson outside the lab on a portable device. Further test-kits for the diagnosis of any infectious disease in humans and animals can be developed within just a few weeks.
Based on our simple technology, our products and company will significantly contribute to the improvement of infectious disease control by shortening the time to treatment and lowering healthcare costs. The combination of accuracy, ease of use and affordability considerably expands the access to high-quality diagnostics.
The financial support of the STI Foundation started in 2016. It enables us to develop and enter the market with our first products.
